geji module

蚰蜒 (geji in Japanese or yóuyán in Chinese) translates to house centipede. I chose the name because this module had 6 - 8 inputs and was mono when I started to design it. So many inputs reminded me of a centipede. I looked up the Japanese translation and I really liked geji, or ゲジ. A friend of mine persuaded me to make it stereo and sacrifice a few input channels instead. The name remained though.

The geji module is a 4 input stereo mixer with line output and a high quality headphone amplifier (TPA6120A2).

inputs

Every channel has volume and pan control. Both, line output as well as headphone output have a master volume control knob. That’s it.

panel desing

I hand-etched the panel from a one-sided photo PCB. To give it some character, I treated is with liver of sulfur afterwards and sealed it from further oxidation with a clear acrylic cover. Unfortunately, the koseidai logo is antique. The next revision wil get an update.
